Bounded by RR and Rt 72 to the northwest, by an apparently dredged channel to the southeast and a compacted old field to the southwest. The area is the site of an old manganese plant, and currently in use by the army for training purposes. This plot may have been impacted by either one of the historic or current uses. The floodplain extends from the plot (the upland edge of the floodplain) to the river.;This plot is located in full sunlight. The vegetation consists mostly of tall herbaceous plants, Verbasina alternifolia, Solidago spp., several mint species and others.
